             FITTING  AND  DISMANTLING
                   RTL rolling bearing series is a kind of precision products . Therefore, special care 
               must be taken of before and in assembling. Operations free of fault of the bearings mainly 
               depends on the quality of the assembling.

Storage

                     Rolling bearings should be stored in the dry warehouses with constant temperature and 
               the humidity less than 65%.
                     RTL rolling bearings are supplied to the users after well storage (packed with mineral
               oils added with anti-rusty agent or with dry gas phase slow corrosive paper VCI). Therefore, 
               do not open the package too early till direct assembling . If only a few bearings are to be
               used form a package wrapped in easily volatile paper, all the rest bearing must be well pac-
               ked again immediately because the protective vapor will only exist in a closed package . The
               bearings taken out of the package must be filled with lubricating grease or oil immediately.
                     Even in the suitable storage environment , the sealed bearings filled with lub grease 
               should not be kept over 3 years. The aged lub grease after long storage or abnormal condition
               must be replaced in assembling.

Cleaning

                 The anti-rusty oil and the mineral based lub grease for RTL rolling bearings are compatible
             and can be mixed. No special treatments are required before assembling. But the bearings should be
             cleaned in the cases of compound lub oil used or lubricants used under high  or low temperature or
             the operational temperature over + 90℃ or lubricant polluted.
                 Many cleaning agents can be used to clean the bearings or the lubricants grease in the bearings.
                 Inorganic cleaning agents are water bearing alkaline solutions. The temperature of the cleaning 
           tank should be +70℃_ +80℃. The parts must be dipped in the tank till its temperature reaches the same,
           then put the parts into the dewatering tank. The alkaline solutions are not to be used for bearings with
           aluminum retainers . Organic cleaning agents such as acids, kerosene free of water  ,benzene can also be
           used as cleaning mediums.
                 Chlorine containing hydro-carbon compound, i.e. trichloroethylene or chloroethylene etc, are not
            recommended  as  cleaning agents because these compounds will increase the rusty danger ,  At least two
            cleaning tanks are to be prepared , one for first cleaning and the other for final cleaning. The cleaned
            bearings should be coated with grease or filled with lubricant oil at once.

Assembling

The bearing assembling area should be kept cleanly without dust or dirt because these things
will invade into the bearings causing harmful effects on the bearing life. The bearing seat hole and
shaft must be inspected for their dimensional tolerance, geometric precision and clean grade.
Bearing bush ring should be mounted with the help of the auxiliary sleeve on the compressor.
The mounting sleeve should be chosen suitably so that the end face of the bearing bush ring can be
press completely.
If no compressor is available , please tap gently at the center of the mounting sleeve , the
mounting force is forbidden from transmitting through the rolling bodies. Also, direct impact on the
bearing bush ring must be avoided.
It would be easier to assemble with a few lubricant oil or some solid lubricant on the comb-
ination faces and a 10 - 15 degree chamfered angle. If induction heater is used, the inner ring or
the bearings should be heated before assembling starts. For compact combination, this is the easiest
way for compact combination assembling. The bearing can be heated in the tank or heating cabin to ap-
proximately 80℃ if there is no heater can be used.
Here, no method for mounting the bearings into the seats in cool way is recommended because
the condensed water will cause the rust on the combination faces of bearing and bearing unit.
The special mounting requirements for the bearings will be explained in the technical remarks
before its dimensional list.
Test running should be handled after the bearing assembling and lubricating to check if the
bearing unit can be operated normally.

Dismounting

The dismounting should be considered when the bearing unit is designed. If the bearing selects the combination assembling, there should be associated grooves on the shaft or bearing seat holes so that dismounting tool can be used.
If the dismounting bearings are to be re-used, direct impact on the bearing bush ring must be avoided and the dismounting force must not be transmitted through the rolling bodes. Careful clean the dismounting bearings. It抯 better to clean the bearings in the dismounting state.
